Starting a race season can be tough, besides the monetary commitment, a mental and physical commitment is just as important. Overwhelming thoughts of whether the sacrifices will pay off run through my mind but my faith in God, passion for the sport, and pursuit of the checkered flag keep me grounded. My Desire, Discipline and Determination will be TESTED beyond known limits. While getting ready for new season I challenge myself to overcome the odds. The WERA Motorcycle Roadracing Pirelli Sportsman Series kicked off February 7/8, at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway in Talladega, Alabama. This was the 2009 Season Opener for the Southeast and Mid-Central Region there were many riders who have been off since the Grand National Finals in October of 2008. The action is usually intense as the riders get back up to speed and bring out their new equipment for the 2009 season. http://www.wera.com

Talladega Gran Prix is located on Alabama Hwy #21 between Munford and Talladega, Alabama. Admission for Saturday/Sunday will be $20.00 and then $15.00 on Sunday only. Come see the riders of WERA Motorcycle Roadracing and see if you can pick the stars of tomorrow.
